Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Stackup. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

1. Who Stackup is for

Stackup is for UK residents aged 18+ with a personal UK bank account. Business accounts and joint accounts aren’t supported in this release. You confirm you meet these criteria on sign-up.

2. What Stackup is — and isn’t

Stackup is an informational service that analyses your bank-account data (with your consent, via Open Banking) and suggests potential savings. Stackup is not a financial advisor, broker, or regulated investment service. Nothing in the product constitutes regulated financial advice. Decisions are yours.

3. Account & security

Keep your password and 2FA backup codes confidential. Tell us promptly at security@stackup.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account if we reasonably believe it’s been compromised or is being used to abuse the service.

4. Open Banking

We connect to your bank via TrueLayer, an FCA-authorised Account Information Service Provider (firm ref. 793171). Stackup is read-only: we can never initiate payments. You may revoke consent at any time in Settings or via your bank’s own controls.

5. Fees

Stackup is free during beta. Paid plans, where applicable, will be priced transparently in GBP with at least 14 days’ notice of any change. Affiliate commissions are disclosed at /legal/affiliate-disclosure.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t reverse-engineer the service, scrape it, or use it to attack third parties. Don’t connect a bank account you don’t own.

7. Liability

Stackup is provided “as is”. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t lawfully be excluded. Our aggregate liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) £100 or (b) fees you paid us in that period.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts on 30 days’ notice, or immediately for material breach.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
